ABOUT US

Our Commitment To Excellence

The Bulls Wrestling Club is a non-profit youth wrestling team serving athletes 4-14 years old.

The Bulls Wrestling Club was established in Bethalto, IL in 1979. The Bulls are sanctioned by USA Wrestling and is a member of the Illinois Kids Wrestling Federation (IKWF).

The Bulls strive to provide an opportunity for wrestlers to develop their skills in a positive atmosphere while playing on a competitive level.

The Bulls Wrestling Club consistently fields a competitive team supported by certified coaches and referees who teach athletes agility, flexibility, strength, balance, self-confidence, sportsmanship, discipline, and goal-setting—both on and off the mat—all while ensuring they have fun in the process.

Over the years, our program has produced 18 individual IKWF champions, an IKWF Individual State Championship, an IKWF Dual Team Championship, multiple IKWF team and dual team trophies, and numerous individual state placers. Many Bulls WC athletes continue to excel after leaving the club, going on to become IHSA state placers and champions, USAW freestyle and Greco-Roman national All-Americans, and NCAA All-Americans

Who is wrestling for?

Open to all

We strive to provide a safe, inclusive environment where every person, regardless of skill level, gender, race, ethnic background, religious beliefs, sexual preferences or physical abilities will be accepted and appreciated. Wrestling is fun, but it is also a difficult sport; any person willing to come to practice and do the work will earn, and be shown, the proper respect. We are excited to welcome all to our community.

Is wrestling worth it?

Why should your kid try wrestling?

There are a lot of activities your kid could be doing, so why would you bother with wrestling? Here's a few reasons we think your child can benefit from wrestling:

  • It builds self-confidence
  • It teaches discipline and hard work
  • It develops physical strength and coordination
  • It creates lifelong friendships
  • It's an individual sport with team support
